The river Nile runs through it dividing it into 2, one half being dense forest and the other plains and Savannah. The forest is occupied by yet again, primates. Such include the Chimpanzee and other monkeys as well.

One can take boat trips up and down the river to catch site of the many Hippos that laze along the river banks. The boat trip was a highlight of this park when tourism in Uganda was at its peak in the 60s and 70s.

Visitors to the park are slowly trickling back in and once word gets around, the boats will again be busy with curious tourists just like in the 60s.

LAKE VICTORIA BOAT TRIPS AND FISHING EXCURSIONS
Fishing tackle provided on request. Boat can handle up to 3 fishermen at any time, or up to six persons if ‘non-fishermen’ or for lake excursions. Lunch and beverages are included. Boat departs from Entebbe pier.

Murchison falls is situated north of Masindi, 350kms from Kampala. Boat trips operate from Paraa to the foot of Murchison falls and take around 3 hours. These enable you to see hippos, crocodiles and magnificent bird life close up.

Kazinga Channel Launch Trip:
A popular tour in this park is the boat trip up this channel whereone can spot thousands of hippos, birds and other river wildlife. You may also be lucky and spot elephant and lion.
A boat trip along the channel provides a memorable method of game viewing. The park covers 2000 square kilometers and includes a remarkable variety of eco-systems and an abundance of wildlife.

You hike in the Kibale Forest, take game drives and boat trips in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and stay in Mbarara town to ensure that you see the full range of Ugandan wildlife and culture.
